For many others, it's a breakup, a health scare, or something really serious and heart wrenching. I wanted to make this video because idk. I care...too much sometimes. lol. Front splits, middle splits, banana splits- they’re all good and they all serve a purpose. Today, I really want to take a minute to remind us all, that achieving your splits is dependant on 5 key factors. 1- Time Achieving your maximum range for your splits, regardless of whether it’s front or middle, takes time. Lots and lots of time. The human body is not made to change overnight. 2- Patience Patience is a virtue, one we must consciously practice daily. From getting frustrated by traffic, to getting upset with our ability to make physical changes- patience is an undebatable necessity. Be patient, be kind to yourself, these things take time- and that’s OK. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and the splits aren’t achieved in a day, or even a week! These changes take many weeks, or sometimes months, to master- IF you are practicing safely and correctly. It can’t be something you do every now and again. There must be a level of daily consistency if you are to see results. One or two days one week, and then nothing for another week or two, isn’t going to help you. Be consistent. Get Used to Discomfort There is a big difference between discomfort and pain. An action that feels uncomfortable won’t send you to the ER. An action that induces serious pain, on the other hand, will tell your brain, “no no no, go seek medical attention.” They are not the same thing. Stretching our bodies a little further and a little further each day is going to be uncomfortable for a while, but that discomfort is normal. Breathe through it and stop pushing when your body says so- and, believe me it will tell you. Listen to your body and breathe through the discomfort, it will pass. Practice Safely As I mentioned before, I broke up the Splits Series into 4 parts for a good reason. It’s not just because I like making lots of videos, it’s because my #1 priority is Safety. With that in mind, if you are following the videos as intended, you will reach your goal. But, don’t try to skip ahead when you know full-well your body isn’t ready. One step at a time. You will target all your problem areas with 10 rounds of 60 second intervals. You will add extra equipment such as ankle weights, resistance bands and pilates ball to some of the exercises to increase the burn even more. The workouts are easy to follow, but tough to do. They require very little space and guarantee results if you do them on a regular basis. In Target 10 Outer Thighs you will use ankle weights in a side lying tucked position to burn out all angles of your outer thighs. You will start with knee and toes, a raise to knee in combo, bend extend, then l shape extensions and finally a straight leg raise to front kick before moving on to the other side and repeating all the exericses. Staying on the one side for 5 rounds fully fatigues the muscle and will give you the best results. Do the workout with or without ankle weights depending on your fitness level. You will use a triple set principle where you perform 3 different intensity levels of one exercises to fully fatigue the muscle. Each workout will use various pieces of equipment as well as your body weight to increase the challenge. You will work from the hardest to the easiest level with lots of variations to keep thing interesting. Each workout is a total body workout with warm up and stretch at the end. In Triple Burn Shape you will starts with some low impact cardio moves to heat the entire body, then move to lower body with an elevated squat sequence with heels elevated on small weights to really get into those quads and a single leg ball roll out with loop and weights. Then you will move on to upper body with a biceps curl, shoulder press and triceps extension combo and a back extension sequence using the ball to elevate and a tough abs exercise which will work your upper and lower abs as well as the obliques. There is a lengthening stretch at the end. You will target all your problem areas with 10 rounds of 60 second intervals. You will add extra equipment such as ankle weights, resistance bands and pilates ball to some of the exercises to increase the burn even more. The workouts are easy to follow, but tough to do. They require very little space and guarantee results if you do them on a regular basis. In Target 10 Glutes you will use ankle weights to intensify all your favourite glute exercises. You will start with kneeling glute raises, circles, out and ins, then more horizontal bend and extend and finally smaller range of motion pulses. You will perform all the exercises on one side before moving on to the other in order to fully fatigue the muscle. Performing the exercises in a kneeling position also engages the supporting leg so you will feel a total lower body challenge. Do the workout with or without ankle weights depending on your fitness level.
