Often I might angle my body or do some more complex combinations and you might get lost as to which leg you should be on. By mirroring me and turning your body in the same direction as mine, you can avoid confusion. All you need to do is see which leg/arm I am moving, is it the one closest to the screen or furthest away, then you do the same. In the end you will actually be on the opposite leg as me, but you will be mirroring my moves, which will make it a lot easier to follow than if you tried to stay on the same side as me.
